![]() ![]() To provide an arc with a particular slope angle, you need to drag the control dot in the middle of the panel contour. Then right click on the panel and choose Edit Contour. The next step is to build a panel extending the entire length of the room using either the Wall Panel Rect or Wall Panel Poly tool. Start by selecting the inner part of the wall and then switch to 2D Elevation View. This ceiling can be achieved in a similar way to the Cove ceiling with the help of Shapes (see instructions above), but there’s an easier way around it for users of Live Home 3D Pro, and that is using the Wall Panels. ![]() Barrel VaultĪ barrel vault ceiling is a semi-cylindrical design formed by the extrusion of a circular curve along a given distance. Finally, you can paint the shape the same color as the ceiling by dragging the appropriate material from the Library and dropping it onto the shape. The next step is to set the necessary dimensions in the 2D Plan View or in the Inspector. Then right click on the object and choose Type & Representation. To do that, right click on the shape and choose Merge. You can also turn the shape along any axis: X, Y or Z. In the Object Properties tab of the Inspector, check Glue by the top side. Now, drag and drop it onto the 2D Plan View. For that, first find the Shape category in the Object Library and pick a suitable one. The only thing left to do is to paint the mouldings the same color as the ceiling by dragging the appropriate material from the Library and dropping it onto each moulding.Īlternatively, a cove ceiling can be built with the help of the Shapes. Then, set the necessary height and width. In the Object Properties tab of the Inspector, choose the curved type for the upper mouldings. To start building the ceiling, select the inner parts of the walls. The procedure to export objects is described in the Exporting a 3D Model section. The first method is using the Mouldings to create curved edges under the ceiling. You should then import the edited model to your project. Export it as a 3D model in the SketchUp format. There is an alternative way to edit an object. This will reduce the number of unique objects in the project keeping the program performance at a higher level. If a project contains multiple copies of an object that should be modified in the same way, edit one copy and duplicate it in the project. For that reason, don't send an object back to the project if you haven't edited it. In order to edit a window, door or staircase, you should convert the object to Furniture in the Type and Representation dialog, edit it, and then restore the original type.Īfter opening an object in Trimble SketchUp™ and getting it back to your project, the program will treat such an object as a new unique one even if you didn't edit it. Note that the editing is possible only when an object has the Furniture type. Click Finish in Live Home 3D to replace the original object with its edited version.Choose File > Save in the menu of Trimble SketchUp™. ![]()
